IClicker Policy
All students are provided with free iClicker accounts. The subscription allows students to associate an electronic device (e.g. smartphone) with their account. Students are expected to bring the device associated with their iClicker subscription to class regularly to be prepared if the technology is used by faculty. Learning events will proceed as planned, whether a student has forgotten their device. Create an iClicker Student Account.
This technology may be used to provide practice with concepts and principles, to stimulate discussion, to take attendance and/or administer assessments. Questions may be posed at any time during the class session. No makeup experiences will be provided should a student forget their device.
If iClicker is used to take attendance, students will be expected to arrive in class on time and to stay for the duration of the assigned activity.
As a matter of professionalism, please note that under no circumstances should a student loan their device to another student, nor should a student ever use another student’s device to access iClicker. Answering questions or checking in for attendance on behalf of another student by using their device is considered to be an act of dishonesty and may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from the program.
