Program History

MSUCOM began exploring the beginning of a PA program in 2017 and attended a January 2018 ARC-PA meeting to better understand the process.  In June 2018, a Founding Program Director was hired followed by subsequent program faculty/staff to develop the PA Medicine curriculum and prepare for accreditation submission.

The Program submitted an application to ARC-PA for the September 2021 commission review cycle and was granted accreditation-provsional status in 2021 (see the Program Accreditation Information)

The MSU College of Ostepathic Medicine Department of PA Medicine enrolled the first class of 32 PA students in May 2022.
