Teaching Out Plan

Michigan State University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), who requires a formal teaching out policy in the event of program closure or loss of accreditation.  MSUCOM PA Medicine will follow this policy, which can also be referenced at the following link: Teach-Out Arrangements (FDCR.B.10.010) | Policies.  The MSUCOM PA Medicine program will follow the HLC teach-out policies.

The University reserves the right to make changes in its programs, policies, rules, regulations, procedures, fees, tuition, housing rates, organizational structure, and faculty and staff through the appropriate University processes. Every effort will be made to give as much advance notice of a program closure or loss of accreditation as possible. Michigan State University reserves the right to modify or eliminate programs. In the event such an action is taken, students affected will be advised by their units of the options available to them to complete their degrees. Every reasonable effort will be made to permit students to complete these programs or similar programs.
