Scott Carlson, DO, MPH

Scott A Carlson DO MPH is the current Medical Director and Associate Professor in the MSU-College of Osteopathic Medicine, Department of Physician Assistant medicine.  He is a 1982 graduate of MSU-COM and is Board Certified in General Practice.  His career spanned thirty-seven years in a private independent practice in Grand Rapids Michigan.  In addition to serving patients, he mentored students from MSU-COM as an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, and he mentored PA students from WMU and GVSU.  His practice expanded by the addition of Carlson Laser Aesthetics in 2008, and he became Board Certified by the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.   During that time, he started his family life by marrying an awesome woman and having four children.  Since his Life-Work balance was tipped in favor of work, his wife Robyn picked up most of the children support, worked outside the home as an Educator, and completed academic studies for a Masters’ in Education and a PhD in Education.  Who does that?
